Las Vegas glazing works two ways. Residential is hillside and high-rise: The Ridges, MacDonald Highlands and tower units glazed toward the Strip and the valley, with neighbors far closer than the view. Hospitality is guest-facing glass: suites, bath pods, private dining and back-of-house rooms that need to change state instantly.
Switchable glass suits both because there is no hardware in the opening to maintain or replace, which matters where the same room is turned over hundreds of times a year. In the desert we plan it as a privacy product, coordinated with the solar-control glazing rather than substituting for it.
Floor-to-ceiling glass is usually the most expensive design decision in the house, and window treatments are usually the first thing to compromise it. Hardware, stack-back, cords and fabric all push against the reason the glass was chosen.
Switchable glass makes privacy a property of the glazing itself. Rooms switch individually or together: a bedside control for the primary suite, a scene in the home automation system for a whole elevation. Under a second, silent, nothing to dust.
